Bail
William W. Bruzzo has managed to get bail reduced or removed
entirely for many clients.
It is always a good idea to hire an attorney before posting
bail because a skilled attorney can help get the client out
of jail by reducing bail or by removing bail altogether.
ORANGE COUNTY IS ONE OF THE FEW PLACES IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
WHERE AN ATTORNEY CAN TALK TO A 24-HOUR MAGISTRATE ABOUT
REDUCING BAIL OR REMOVING BAIL (this is also called getting
the client released on his own recognizance).
Most persons accused of crimes are eligible to have bail
set. In deciding what bail amount to set the court will look
to a Bail Schedule which lists every crime and the
corresponding bail. The court will also look at the nature
of the offense charged, the criminal record of the client
and whether the client is a flight risk;
that is will he appear at his posted court date.
Generally speaking misdemeanor bail amounts range from about
$10,000.00 to $25,000.00; Felony bail amounts are usually
$25,000.00 or more and can be as high as $1,000,000.00 for
very serious crimes.
Please note that for felony probation violations often times
NO BAIL IS SET and the client must wait until his case is
resolved before getting released from custody.
Attorney William W. Bruzzo’s experience in the Orange
County Court system is such that he has managed to get many
clients released from custody without bail being posted.
