DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE HEARINGS
(DMV)
Testimonials
Following a non-injury automobile accident, I was subjected to a very harsh and overreaching action by the Department of Motor Vehicles, who ordered me to surrender my driver’s license for an alleged medical condition and offered me no indication of their intent to reissue my license to me. I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo to represent me as he is very experienced with the DMV and DMV matters. Mr. Bruzzo scheduled an administrative hearing and then prepared me to testify at the hearing. He also instructed me to get documentation from doctors and other information to help my case. Mr. Bruzzo then appeared at the hearing with me and litigated the case with the hearing officer. In the end Mr. Bruzzo managed to get the action against me SET ASIDE (Dismissed). My driving privileges were reinstated immediately thereafter. Without Mr. Bruzzo’s skill and knowledge I would have lost my license and it would have it made it more difficult for me to work and carry out my daily activities. I would highly recommend him for any DMV matter when your driver’s license is on the line.

I was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI); my blood alcohol level was a .10. Every person who is arrested for DUI in the state of California is subject not only to court proceedings but also a hearing with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo to represent me in both matters as he is very experienced with DUIs in the courts and the DMV. I was especially concerned with the DMV matter because the DMV can actually cause you to lose your license for a period of time whereas the court usually does not on a first time DUI. Mr. Bruzzo first called the DMV and got them to stay the suspension of my license pending the hearing on my matter. Mr. Bruzzo then appeared at the DMV hearing without me being present and ended up getting the suspension of my license SET ASIDE (Dismissed). This means that I will not lose my driving privilege. Mr. Bruzzo managed to do this even though my blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. Without Mr. Bruzzo’s skill and knowledge I would have lost my license and it would have it made it more difficult for me to work. I would highly recommend him for any DUI or DMV matter.

My license was suspended for too many points in a 12-month period by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). I had received tickets for speeding and other traffic infractions which caused me to lose my driving privilege. In addition, I got another ticket after I was put on probation for too many tickets with the result that my license was suspended. I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo to represent me in a hearing with the DMV in effort to get my license back. Mr. Bruzzo is very experienced with DMV matters. Mr. Bruzzo prepared me for the hearing by going over my testimony. He then presented my case to the hearing officer to include my testimony. Despite the fact that I was on probation for too many tickets and then got another ticket, Mr. Bruzzo succeeded in getting my suspension SET ASIDE (Dismissed) allowing me to drive. But for Mr. Bruzzo’s skill and knowledge I would have been unable to perform my job and support my family. I would highly recommend him for any DMV matter.

Client was charged with driving under the influence and
had a blood alcohol level of .19, over twice the legal limit. Attorney
William W. Bruzzo represented the client in a Department
of Motor Vehicles Hearing matter as well as the
court portion of the case. While the worst the client could
expect from the court was a 90-day restriction (Restriction=limited
driving) he faced a 1-5 month suspension (Suspension=no
driving, no exceptions) from the DMV. Mr. Bruzzo conducted
the DMV hearing without the client being present. Within
a few days of the hearing the client received a letter from
the DMV which said that the DMV action had been SET
ASIDE (Set Aside=dismissed)! Mr. Bruzzo’s
knowledge and familiarity with DMV issues made the difference
in the client’s case.
The client was charged with a second driving under the influence
(that is a new driving under the influence case with a prior
conviction within 7 years of new case) which means a 1 year
license suspension if the DMV finds against the client. The
Client’s blood alcohol level was a .10. Attorney
William W. Bruzzo represented the client at the Department
of Motor Vehicle hearing without the client being
present. Some time later the client received a letter from
the DMV stating that the action had been SET ASIDE
(Dismissed). Mr. Bruzzo’s experience and
familiarity played a large part in the favorable outcome
in this case.
