DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

(Vehicle Code Section(s) 14601.1-14601.2)

I was charged with Health and Safety Code Section 11377(a) (Possession of a controlled substance HS 11377(a)) a felony which carries a maximum of 3 years in prison. I had previous convictions for the same charge and I had similar charges pending. I was also charged with driving on a suspended license (Vehicle Code Section 14601.1 – VC 14601.1) and possession of paraphernalia (Health and Safety Code Section 11364 – HS 11364(a)) as misdemeanors.  I hired Mr. William Bruzzo because he was recommended by another attorney and because of his familiarity with the Orange County courts and the District Attorney.  The original offer prior to hiring Mr. Bruzzo was 180 days in jail and pleading guilty to a felony. Mr. Bruzzo convinced the District Attorney there was not a useable amount of the controlled substance and that my driving on a suspended license was justifiable by Necessity, even though I had priors [convictions] for [that charge] too. Mr. Bruzzo got the possession charge DISMISSED [Health and Safety Code Section 11377(a) – HS 11377(a)] and the Vehicle Code Section 14601.1 [Driving on a suspended license – VC 14601.1] DISMISSED. I plead guilty to one count of possession of paraphernalia as a misdemeanor [Health and Safety Code Section 11364(a) – HS 11364] and I got CAL TRANS [instead of jail]. I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any possession of a controlled substance case or any criminal matter.

I was charged with Driving under the Influence and Driving on a Suspended License under Vehicle Code Sections 23152(a) and 14601.1(a) out of Orange County Superior Court. Both charges carry six months maximum custody time.  I hired Mr. Bruzzo because of his experience with Drunk Driving cases and his familiarity with the Orange County Courts. Mr. Bruzzo made several visits to court to negotiate my case with the District Attorney. Mr. Bruzzo continued putting pressure on the District Attorney with the end result of getting me an infraction, which is like a traffic ticket.  In this way I avoided a conviction for drunk driving.  He also had the driving on a suspended license charge DISMISSED after I took a class.  I truly believe that Mr. Bruzzo’s knowledge of the law, the District Attorney and the court in general was critical to the positive outcome of my case. I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any criminal matter.

Client charged with Driving on a suspended license (Vehicle Code Section(s) 14601.1-14601.2) with prior convictions which enhanced the punishment and could have caused the Defendant to spend 30 days in jail or more. This case was out of the Orange County Superior Court. In addition the client was on probation for another offense and would have been subject to even more jail time. Attorney William W. Bruzzo got the charge reduced at the first visit to court but this would have still been a violation of the client’s probation. Accordingly, Mr. Bruzzo returned to court and in the end managed to get the case DISMISSED. The result saved the client from jail, over $1,000.00 in fines and three years of probation. Mr. Bruzzo’s aggressiveness and knowledge was the reason for this very favorable result.
