DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
(California Vehicle Code section 23152(a), (b))
I was arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence of alcohol (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a) and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .08 (Vehicle Code Section 23152(b). My blood alcohol level at the scene was .11 [3/10ths of percent over the limit) and a .09 [1/10th of a percent over the limit] at the police station. The police contacted me because my car was stopped in a traffic lane and I was blocking traffic. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his familiarity with the courts, judges and District Attorney in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated very hard for me with the result that he got both drunk driving charges DISMISSED. I pled guilty to a ‘wet reckless’ (Vehicle Code Section 23103 per 23103.5). This means that I do NOT have a drunk driving conviction. This result also lowered my fines substantially. I am very pleased with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Drunk Driving or Driving under the influence (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a), (Vehicle Code Section 23152(b) matter.
I was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a)); I was facing up to 6 months in jail in this case. The police arrested me when they found me passed out in the driver’s seat of my vehicle in the middle of the street. A chemical test found marijuana and morphine in my system. I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his experience with these types of cases. Mr. Bruzzo was able to negotiate a deal with the District Attorney where the driving under the influence was DIMISSED, and I admitted to a “wet” reckless [Vehicle Code Section 23103 per 23103.5]. This kept my record cleaner [this charge goes down as a reckless driving on the record] and it reduced my fine and alcohol school. I am very happy with this result and I would therefore recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any driving under the influence or similar criminal matter.
I was arrested for Drunk Driving (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a), Under the influence of a controlled substance (Health and Safety Code Section 11550) and Hit and Run (Vehicle Code Section 20002(a)). I had a previous conviction for Drunk Driving 6 years previous and I had been to prison for possession of a controlled substance for 32 months. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his experience with similar cases and his familiarity with the Courts and District Attorney in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated the case with the District Attorney and the Judge. In the end he got me 90 days in a [Drug/Alcohol Rehabilitative] program. As long as I comply with the terms of probation I will never go to jail for this case.
I am very pleased with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Drunk Driving (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a), Hit and Run (Vehicle Code Section 20002(a)) or Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (Health and Safety Code Section 11550) case.
I was charged with a third case of drunk driving (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a)); I had two previous convictions for drunk driving which had occurred within months of each other about a year previous. The District Attorney wanted 270 days of jail on my new case. I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because he had represented me in the past and always did a good job. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated hard with the District Attorney and argued that my low alcohol level and driving (that was pretty good), showed that there was reasonable doubt as to whether the District Attorney could prove the case. In the end, I pled guilty to a wet reckless [Vehicle Code Section 23103 per 23103.5], the Drunk Driving (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a)) was DISMISSED. I received a 45 day jail sentence. Also, despite 2 violations of probation for my previous Drunk Driving cases, I served no additional time on my probation violations [which Mr. Bruzzo negotiated with the Judge]. This was an extraordinary result. I am truly grateful to Mr. Bruzzo and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any Drunk Driving (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a), (b)) or criminal matter.
My son was charged with drunk driving under 21 years of age [Vehicle Code Section 23140]. I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent my son because of his success with drunk driving cases and the courts and District Attorney in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo managed to [obtain] a DISMISSAL once my son attended classes, did community service and completed an essay. I am very pleased with the result in this case and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any drunk driving or criminal matter.
I was charged with Driving under the Influence and Driving on a Suspended License under Vehicle Code Sections 23152(a) and 14601.1(a) out of Orange County Superior Court. Both charges carry six months maximum custody time. I hired Mr. Bruzzo because of his experience with Drunk Driving cases and his familiarity with the Orange County Courts. Mr. Bruzzo made several visits to court to negotiate my case with the District Attorney. Mr. Bruzzo continued putting pressure on the District Attorney with the end result of getting me an infraction, which is like a traffic ticket. In this way I avoided a conviction for drunk driving. He also had the driving on a suspended license charge DISMISSED after I took a class. I truly believe that Mr. Bruzzo’s knowledge of the law, the District Attorney and the court in general was critical to the positive outcome of my case. I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any criminal matter.

I was charged with Driving Under the Influence (Vehicle Code Section 23152(a)) and Driving Under the Influence with a blood alcohol level of .08 or greater (Vehicle Code Section 23152 (b)) both misdemeanor offenses. This crime carries up to a maximum of 6 months in jail. I was most concerned with keeping my record clean and maintaining my driving privilege. Mr. Bruzzo went to court for me several times (I did not have to appear) and he attempted to negotiate the matter with the District Attorney. As part of that process he conducted a thorough investigation into how well the breath testing devices were working. When the District Attorney refused to dismiss the case Mr. Bruzzo set the matter for trial. In the end Mr. Bruzzo proved to be a very good trial attorney as the jury came back NOT GUILTY on all charges. Mr. Bruzzo’s knowledge and skill in the courtroom kept me from having a conviction on my record and allowed me to keep my driving privilege. I would enthusiastically recommend him for any Drunk Driving or Driving Under the Influence matter.
I was originally alleged to have committed felony driving under the influence (V.C. 23152 (a)). The police were called to the scene because I was involved in an accident with another individual who experienced minor injuries; the police then arrested me for suspicion of being under the influence. According to the police I had a blood alcohol level of .15. Attorney William W. Bruzzo was referred to me by another attorney as being very experienced in criminal law and drunk driving cases. Even before my case went to court Mr. Bruzzo spoke to the District Attorney who was going to file my case and convinced her to file my case as a misdemeanor. After getting the case reduced to a misdemeanor Mr. Bruzzo then convinced a Judge to release me on my own recognizance which means that I did not have to pay bail. M r. Bruzzo then set to work litigating my case by requesting the necessary information from the District Attorney and by having an independent DUI Drug/Alcohol expert evaluate my case. Mr. Bruzzo then negotiated with the District Attorney but was unable to come to a satisfactory agreement so my case was set for trial. Mr. Bruzzo filed pre-trial motions and argued them prior to trial in a further attempt to put my case in the best possible light before the jury. Mr. Bruzzo proved to be an excellent trial attorney; at the end of the trial 11 of 12 jurors voted to find me NOT GUILTY and the Judge then dismissed the case. I truly believe that but for Mr. Bruzzo’s efforts that started prior to my case even going to court the result could have been different. As a result I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any drunk driving, driving under the influence or criminal matter.
I was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in the County of Orange (vehicle code section 23152 (a) (b)). My blood alcohol level was a .20. Then a month later I was once again arrested for drunk driving once again in the County of Orange and charged with driving under the influence (vehicle code section 23152 (a) (b)). I refused to take the chemical test on the second arrest. I then failed to appear on either case and they both went to warrant. Later, I was referred to Attorney William W. Bruzzo by an individual familiar with the attorneys in Orange County and I ended up hiring him to recall the warrants and resolve the cases. Mr. Bruzzo set to work on my cases and began negotiating with the District Attorney. Mr. Bruzzo is highly experienced in drunk driving cases and criminal law. He ended up filing a motion on my behalf for each case and argued it in front of the Judge with the District Attorney opposing. In the end the court DISMISSED both cases because Mr. Bruzzo argued that the District Attorney failed to adequately perform its responsibilities in my cases. This was an amazing result because I was looking at up to 1 year in jail. Not only did I not have to do jail but I also do not have to worry about having a conviction on my record and I NEVER APPEARED IN COURT. I truly believe that Mr. Bruzzo’s knowledge of the law, the District Attorney and the court in general was critical to the positive outcome of my case. I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any drunk driving or criminal matter.
I was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI); my blood alcohol level was a .10. Every person who is arrested for DUI in the state of California is subject not only to court proceedings but also a hearing with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo to represent me in both matters as he is very experienced with DUIs in the courts and the DMV. I was especially concerned with the DMV matter because the DMV can actually cause you to lose your license for a period of time whereas the court usually does not on a first time DUI. Mr. Bruzzo first called the DMV and got them to stay the suspension of my license pending the hearing on my matter. Mr. Bruzzo then appeared at the DMV hearing without me being present and ended up getting the suspension of my license SET ASIDE (Dismissed). This means that I will not lose my driving privilege. Mr. Bruzzo managed to do this even though my blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. Without Mr. Bruzzo’s skill and knowledge I would have lost my license and it would have it made it more difficult for me to work. I would highly recommend him for any DUI or DMV matter.
Client had two prior felony convictions for Driving under the influence (Vehicle Code 23152(a), (b)), thus his new case was also charged as a felony. This case arose out of the Orange County Superior Court. In addition the client’s blood alcohol level on his new case was a 0.3, over three times the legal limit. The client had had 17 (seventeen) alcohol related arrests during his lifetime. Attorney William W. Bruzzo represented the client in court. The District Attorney wanted to give the client 16 months to two years in state prison. However, Mr. Bruzzo took the case to the Judge and was able to get the client sentenced to an alcohol program instead! THE CLIENT WAS NOT SENTENCED TO ONE-DAY IN JAIL DESPITE THE CURRENT OFFENSE AND HIS RECORD. Mr. Bruzzo’s familiarity with the court and the law played a large part in the successful resolution of this case.
