Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury
Orange County Criminal Law
I was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon under Penal Code Section 245(a) (1) and an enhancement for Great Bodily Injury under Penal Code Section 12022.7(a). These charges arose when I got intoxicated and assaulted an individual with a bottle and a large board. He suffered head injuries as a result.
I was looking at up to 7 year in prison for this offense. I was also concerned with having a Strike on my record. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his military background since I am also in the military. Mr. Bruzzo tried to get me into Veteran’s Court and he also tried to get the District Attorney to reduce the case to a misdemeanor.
After many court appearances the Judge finally agreed to give me a misdemeanor and probation and a local jail commitment. I am very happy with this result and I would recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any assault with a deadly weapon case.
I was involved in a domestic altercation with two members of my family that incidentally got mildly physical. One of my family members made up that I had done something to her. Despite little physical evidence I was charged with Penal Code Section 245(a) (4) [Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury], Penal Code Section 273a (a), [Child Abuse] and Penal Code Section 273.5 [Domestic Violence]. I was looking at up to a year in custody for these offenses.
In addition, I was subjected to a Protective Order which prevented me from seeing my family or even going to my home for the duration of the case.
This was all very upsetting for me. A friend helped me research lawyers and we met with and hired Will Bruzzo. Mr. Bruzzo gave us a plan on how to deal with the allegations which he had successfully used in previous cases. He had his private investigator take statements from my family members and then took those statements to the District Attorney.
Based on those statements the District Attorney DISMISSED ALL THE CHARGES and TERMINATED the Protective order.
I am very happy with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any case involving Penal Code Section 245(a)(4) [Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury], Penal Code Section 273a(a), [Child Abuse] or Penal Code Section 273.5 [Domestic Violence].
I was charged with two felony counts of Penal Code Section 245(a) (4) [Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury]; I was looking at up to 5 years in prison for these offenses.
I got involved in an altercation when my friend got into a fight with another guy. I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me.
Mr. Bruzzo took the case to Preliminary Hearing. At the hearing Mr. Bruzzo showed that I acted in self-defense [Defense of others] and that my conduct was reasonable.
Mr. Bruzzo got both charges against me DISMISSED [Not Held to Answer at the Preliminary Hearing, Case was over without going to Trial].
I am very happy with this result and I would highly recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Penal Code Section 245(a) (4) [Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury] case.
