Aggravated Assault

I was charged with two felony counts of Penal Code Section 245(a) (4) [Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury]; I was looking at up to 5 years in prison for these offenses. I got involved in an altercation when my friend got into a fight with another guy. I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo took the case to Preliminary Hearing. At the hearing Mr. Bruzzo showed that I acted in self-defense [Defense of others] and that my conduct was reasonable. Mr. Bruzzo got both charges against me DISMISSED [Not Held to Answer at the Preliminary Hearing, Case was over without going to Trial]. I am very happy with this result and I would highly recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Penal Code Section 245(a) (4) [Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury] case. Dated: 9/6/17

I was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon (Penal Code Section 245(a)(1) for striking someone repeatedly with a metal broom handle; I was also charged with felony vandalism [Penal Code Section 594(a)] for causing about $2000.00 in damages to a home I rented with other people [Maximum Jail Exposure was 3 years]. These events occurred while I was severely intoxicated. I am a professional and these charges could have had a severe impact on my career. My family hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me due to his experience and good results with previous similar cases. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated with two different Prosecutors and had me consult with a licensing attorney to produce a letter to show the possible detriment to my career. In the end Mr. Bruzzo persuaded the District Attorney to DISMISS both felonies Penal Code Section 245(a) (1) [Assault with a Deadly Weapon] and Penal Code Section 594(a) [Felony Vandalism]. I pled ‘no contest’ to Penal Code Section 415(1) (Disturbing the Peace) and Penal Code Section 602(k) (Trespass) [both misdemeanors]; I was also ordered to do out-patient, Anger Management and Work Release instead of jail. I am very happy with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Felony Assault with a deadly weapon [Penal Code Section 245(a) (1)] or Felony Vandalism [Penal Code Section 594(a)] case. I was arrested for Mayhem under Penal Code Section 203 [Maximum incarceration: 8 years] when I had an altercation with another individual and allegedly [seriously] injured him. My family hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated with the District Attorney and explained that I acted in self-defense and due to my advanced age the case should be dismissed. In the end, Mr. Bruzzo got them to DISMISS the case and I pled guilty to Disturbing the Peace, Penal Code Section 415(1), a misdemeanor. I received no jail time. I am very happy with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Mayhem/ Assault matter. Dated: 3/22/17

I was charged with Felony Aggravated Assault with Force Likely to Cause Great Bodily Injury (Penal Code Section 245(a) (4) [maximum jail time 4 years prison] and Sexual Battery as a Misdemeanor (Penal Code Section 243.4 [maximum jail time 1 year, Life time registration as a sex offender]. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo convinced the Judge to reduce the case [Aggravated Assault Charge] to a misdemeanor even though the assault was on video. We then took the case to trial and Mr. Bruzzo got the jury to find me NOT GUILTY on the sexual battery charge. I am very happy with this result. Mr. Bruzzo is a very good trial attorney and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any Assault or Sexual Battery Case. Dated: 5/22/15

I was involved in a fight in Orange County where basically I thought these two guys were about to hit me so I hit them first, one time each. One of the guys hit his head on the concrete floor when he went down and cracked his head open- he ended up being hospitalized and he went into a coma although he eventually fully recovered. It was my belief from the beginning that I had been acting in self defense even though I had hit the guys first. I explained it all to the police. Despite that I was arrested, bail was set and I was eventually charged by the Orange County District Attorney with Battery with Serious Bodily Injury (Penal Code Section 243(d)) and Aggravated Assault with Force Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury ( Penal Code Section 245(a)(1)); in addition I was facing two enhancements one for Inflicting Great Bodily Injury (Penal Code Section 12022.7(a)) and another for Inflicting Great Bodily Injury which led to the person becoming comatose (Penal Code Section 12022.7(b)). I was facing 13 years of prison for these offenses. These offenses are considered strike offenses. Also, I had been previously convicted of a misdemeanor charge for an altercation a few years previous. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his familiarity with the courts and district attorneys in Orange County; also, Mr. Bruzzo has had extremely good results with these types of cases. Mr. Bruzzo managed to get the District Attorney to offer me a misdemeanor with no jail time but I felt that I was truly innocent of these charges since the other guys were the aggressors and it turned out they were also highly intoxicated. Mr. Bruzzo supported my decision and fought hard to get the case dismissd. When the District Attorney refused Mr. Bruzzo set the case for trial. Mr. Bruzzo proved to be an excellent trial lawyer. After three days of testimony Mr. Bruzzo argued in closing argument that I should be found not guilty of all charges given the considerable... Dated: 6/19/
