Vandalism

I was already pending a felony assault case when I was arrested and charged with felony Vandalism (Penal Code Section 594(a)/(b)(1). I was looking at up to 16 months prison on this case plus it could have affected my other felony case. Attorney Will Bruzzo was already involved on my assault case (where I also got a good result) and he took over the felony vandalism. Mr. Bruzzo and my family worked with the victim of the vandalism to compensate him and for him to sign a civil compromise agreement. A civil compromise agreement, if accepted by the Judge can cause a criminal case to be dismissed. After Mr. Bruzzo managed to get the victim to sign the civil compromise agreement, he took the agreement to court to get the case dismissed. The District Attorney objected to the civil compromise because I had a case pending when the felony vandalism occurred, but the Judge can override the District Attorney and Mr. Bruzzo was able to convince the Judge of the wisdom of dismissing the felony vandalism. In the end the Judge DISMISSED the case and I avoided a felony, jail time and also a license suspension because pleading guilty to a vandalism can cause your license to be suspended. I am very happy with Mr. Bruzzo’s representation and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any felony vandalism Penal Code Section 594(a)/(b)(1) or criminal matter. Dated: 11/3/20

I was charged with Penal Code Section 243(e) (1) [Domestic Violence] and Penal Code Section 594(a)/ (b) (1) [Vandalism]. I was looking at up to one year in jail for these offenses and a one year license suspension. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. This incident occurred when I had an altercation with the father of my children. Unfortunately, I admitted to committing the acts underlying the crimes of Domestic Violence [Penal Code Section 243(e) (1) and Vandalism 594(a)/ (b) (1) to the police during questioning. Convictions for these offenses would have been devastating to my career and could have caused custody issues with my children. Mr. Bruzzo went to court several times and negotiated with the District Attorney. In the end he got the Domestic Violence [Penal Code Section 243(e) (1) and Vandalism 594(a)/ (b) (1) charges DISMISSED. I pled to a Disturbing the Peace Charge [Penal Code 415(1)] with attendance at a Domestic Violence Class. I received NO JAIL. I am very happy with this result and would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Domestic Violence [Penal Code Section 243(e) (1) and/or Vandalism [Penal Code Section 594(a)/ (b) (1)] case. I was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon (Penal Code Section 245(a)(1) for striking someone repeatedly with a metal broom handle; I was also charged with felony vandalism [Penal Code Section 594(a)] for causing about $2000.00 in damages to a home I rented with other people [Maximum Jail Exposure was 3 years]. These events occurred while I was severely intoxicated. I am a professional and these charges could have had a severe impact on my career. My family hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me due to his experience and good results with previous similar cases. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated with two different Prosecutors and had me consult with a licensing attorney to produce a letter to show the possible detriment to my career. In the end Mr. Bruzzo persuaded the District Attorney to DISMISS both felonies Penal Code Section 245(a) (1) [Assault with a Deadly Weapon] and Penal Code Section 594(a) [Felony Vandalism]. I pled ‘no contest’ to Penal Code Section 415(1) (Disturbing the Peace) and Penal Code Section 602(k) (Trespass) [both misdemeanors]; I was also ordered to do out-patient, Anger Management and Work Release instead of jail. I am very happy with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Felony Assault with a deadly weapon [Penal Code Section 245(a) (1)] or Felony Vandalism [Penal Code Section 594(a)] case. I was charged with felony Vandalism under Penal Code Section 594 (a)/ (b) (1); I was very concerned with the effect this would have on my record to say nothing of jail time. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated a civil compromise with the District Attorney. This reduced the case to a misdemeanor and DISMISSED the case after I compensated the victim. Date: 12/16/16

I was charged with Robbery, Penal Code Section 211/212.5(c) for alleging taking a phone from someone. I was facing up to 5 years in prison for this offense. I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo argued with the District Attorney that the facts of the case did not amount to a robbery. When the District Attorney did not listen, Mr. Bruzzo set the matter for a Preliminary Hearing. After the Police Officers testified at the hearing and Mr. Bruzzo cross-examined them, he argued that the case should be dismissed because I did not have the intent to rob the victim. The Judge agreed with Mr. Bruzzo and case was DISMISSED! This is my second time hiring Mr. Bruzzo and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any Penal Code Section 211/212.5(c) case. I was charged with Battery on a Peace Officer (Penal Code Section 243(b)), Vandalism (Penal Code Section 594(a)/ (b) (1) and Public Intoxication (Penal Code Section 647(f). I was facing up to one year in jail for these offenses. [Defendant got drunk, assaulted a police officer and broke a window] I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo is very familiar with the courts and the District Attorney in Orange County. He argued my lack of a record and other positive things about my character. In the end, he got ALL MY CHARGES DISMISSED, after I gave DNA. I never admitted guilt, I never did any jail time and I have no conviction even though the case against me could have been easily proven. As such, I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Battery on a Peace Officer (Penal Code Section 243(b), Vandalism (Penal Code Section 594(a)/ (b) (1) or Public Intoxication (Penal Code Section 647(f) case. Date: 2/22/16

I was charged with Penal Code Section 487(a), Grand Theft. I was facing up to one year in jail for this offense. The item I was accused of taking was worth $600.00. I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo to represent me because of his familiarity with the courts and the District Attorneys in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo made a deal whereby the District Attorney DISMISSED the case once I did community service, took a class and gave DNA. Thanks to Mr. Bruzzo my record is clean. I would highly recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any criminal matter. Date: 10/14/10

I was arrested for Domestic Violence under Penal Code Section 273.5(a) for an incident that occurred with my spouse in Orange County, California. For that crime I was arrested and faced a maximum of one year in jail. After I got out of jail I made contact with Attorney William Bruzzo whom I understood to be a very effective attorney and very familiar with the judges and the District Attorneys in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo told me that he would start working on my case even before my court date and that he would try to persuade the District Attorney NOT TO FILE the case against me which would mean there would never actually be a case in court. Mr. Bruzzo argued that the lack of any injury in this case, despite the allegation of battery by my spouse, might cause the District Attorney to have doubts about the provability of the case and lead to the non-filing. He contacted the District Attorney and took a statement from my spouse prior to the appearance date in court. Mr. Bruzzo then showed this statement to the DA and talked to her about the case. Two days after I hired Mr. Bruzzo he informed me that the District Attorney had REJECTED the case and decided not to file against me. I NEVER HAD TO APPEAR IN COURT AND I HAVE NO CONVICTION. I am very grateful to Mr. Bruzzo for his efforts and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any Domestic Violence or Criminal matter. Date: 8/8/11

I was charged with vandalism [Penal Code Section594(a)/(b)(1)], unauthorized entry of a dwelling [Penal Code Section 602.5 (a)] and violation of a restraining order [Penal Code Section 166(a)(4). I faced up to [1 year] in jail for these offenses. I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo to represent me in this matter. The first thing Mr. Bruzzo did was get me out of jail by having me released on my own recognizance-which means that I did not have to pay bail. Then Mr. Bruzzo began to negotiate my case with the DA. In the end he got all charges dismissed after I paid restitution [damages]. As such I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any criminal matter. Date: September 7, 2011
