Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale

I was charged with Health and Safety Code (H&S) section 11378 [Possession for Sales of a Controlled Substance], H&S section 11379(a) [Sales/Transportation of a Controlled Substance], H&S section 11350(a) [Possession of a Controlled Substance], H&S section 11375(b)(2) [Possession of a Designated Substance] and H&S section 11364(a) [Possession of Paraphernalia]. I was looking at up to 5 years in prison for these offenses. I also had a prior Drug Sales conviction for which I was sentenced to State Prison [one year previous] AND I had two other Sales cases pending. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. After the District Attorney and the Court refused to make a non-jail offer on the case(s) Mr. Bruzzo set the matter for preliminary hearing. At the preliminary hearing the District Attorney agreed to DISMISS all the felonies. I only had to plea to misdemeanors. I was not sentenced to any jail time and I showed proof of having completed an out-patient rehabilitation program. I am very happy with this result and I would recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Drug Sales/ Transportation matter Healthy and Safety Code Sections (H&S) 11378, 11379(a), 11350, 11375(b)(2), and 11364(a). I was charged with [7 different] violations of Health and Safety Code Section 11378 [Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine], Health and Safety Code Section 11351 [Possession for sale of a Controlled Substance, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone] Health and Safety Code Section 11375(b) (1), [Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance, Alprazolam] and Penal Code Section 182 (a) (1) [Conspiracy to Commit a Felony]. I was facing about 8 years in prison for these offenses. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo negotiated with the District Attorney and showed them my lack of a record and consistent employment as well as the fact I have a family. The District Attorney originally offered a year of jail time on the case but Mr. Bruzzo got an offer of NO JAIL and only Misdemeanors if I had no new violations for 18 months. [The Co-defendant who had the public defender got 3 years prison] I am very happy with Mr. Bruzzo’s representation and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any Health and Safety Code Section 11378 [Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine], Health and Safety Code Section 11351 [Possession for sale of a Controlled Substance, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone] Health and Safety Code Section 11375(b) (1), [Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance, Alprazolam] and Penal Code Section 182 (a) (1) [Conspiracy to Commit a Felony] cases. I was charged with Health and Safety Code Section (H&S) 11351 (Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance, Cocaine) and facing up to 4 years in prison. Recordings existed of my telephone call when I discussed possessing the controlled substance. [A warrant search of my home revealed 210 grams (about ½ a pound) of cocaine and $22,000.00 cash] I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. Mr. Bruzzo argued that I was pressured into committing the crime by a career criminal. He eventually got them to dismiss the Possession for Sales Charge [H&S 11351] and I pled guilty to accessory after the fact (Penal Code Section 32). I did not receive jail time for this offense. I am pleased with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance (H&S 11351) offense. Date: 1-18-18

I was charged with Health and Safety Code [H&S] 11379(a) Sale/Offer to Sell/Transport of a Controlled Substance and Health and Safety Code 11378 Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale. Various wiretaps of people I was traveling with in a vehicle showed they were major drug traffickers. When our vehicle was pulled over there was over $100,000.00 of cash in the car. Also, large amount of Cocaine were found in the home of a person who was in the vehicle with me. My exposure on the case was over 5 years. I made some statements which could have been interpreted to mean I knew my companions were involved in the drug trade and that I was helping them. My family hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me. The initial offer on the case was 2 years state prison. Mr. Bruzzo told me to decline the offer and fight the case. We fought the case for several months and Mr. Bruzzo negotiated with the District Attorney. In the end Mr. Bruzzo got all charges DISMISSED. I never admitted to anything. I am very happy with this result and I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any Health and Safety Code [H&S] 11379(a) and Health and Safety Code [H&S] 11378 case. Date: 8-14-17

I was charged with Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance (Health and Safety Code Section 11378) [Methamphetamine] and Sale or Transportation of a Controlled Substance (Health and Safety Code Section 11379) [Methamphetamine]. I was looking at 5 years in prison for these offenses. I was stopped for a traffic matter by a police officer who then began to search my vehicle where he eventually found 908 grams (2 lbs) of Methamphetamine. [The officer had detained the Defendant too long for the purposes of a traffic stop AND the consent for the search was not validly given because the request for permission to search was not properly made] I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his experience with these types of cases and his experience with the local courts and District Attorney in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo told me that the arresting officer had violated my 4th Amendment Search and Seizure [Privacy] Rights. He then filed a motion to suppress evidence based on a 4th Amendment Search and Seizure violation. On the day of the hearing on the motion the District Attorney DISMISSED THE CASE. I am very happy with this result and I would highly recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any similar matter. Date: 11-7-13

I was arrested and charged with Health and Safety Code Section 11359, [H&S 11359] Possession of a Controlled Substance for sale [Marijuana], a felony [and other misdemeanor charges]. I was looking at up to 3 years in prison for this offense. It made my case more difficult that I admitted to sales and messages on my phone also indicated I was involved in sales. I hired attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his experience and familiarity with the Orange County Courts, the Judges and the District Attorney. Mr. Bruzzo was able to obtain a ‘no jail’ offer for me, then he managed to get the felony sales DISMISSED. Dismissal of the felony was very important to me because a felony would effect my ability to get a job. As such, I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any possession for sale of a controlled substance or similar criminal matter. Date: 8-5-13

I was arrested for Aggravated Assault/ Assault with a deadly weapon (Penal Code Section 245(a) (1)) for an incident involving a loaded firearm; I had to pay $50,000.00 to bail out of the case. My total exposure on this case was at least 6 years in prison. I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo to defend me in this matter because I know he is an experienced attorney familiar with the courts, the judges and the district attorneys in Orange County. I believed I was innocent of the crime and that any action I took against the victim was in self defense. Mr. Bruzzo made contact and presented information to the Police prior to the case being sent to the District Attorney with the idea of preventing the case from going forward. The information Mr. Bruzzo provided to the police (including witness statements bolstering my claim of self-defense) was then considered by the District Attorney’s office. In the end, the District Attorney rejected the case by reason of self-defense. I never went to court despite having been arrested and required to pay bail. Mr. Bruzzo took care of this matter without me ever having to face the Judge. My life was very stressful during the time this matter was pending and I am very grateful to Mr. Bruzzo for what he achieved. I would enthusiastically recommend Mr. Bruzzo for representation on any criminal matter. Date: 9/16/08

I was charged with possession of marijuana for sale, a felony, in violation of Health and Safety Code Section 11359 [H&S Section 11359] and sale or transportation of marijuana, also a felony, a violation of Health and Safety Code Section 11360 [H&S Section 11360]. I faced up to 4 years and 6 months of time in prison for these offenses. I hired William W. Bruzzo to represent me as he is familiar with the Courts, the Judges and the District Attorney in Orange County. Also, he was referred to me by another attorney familiar with criminal defense attorneys in Orange County. Because of the sale and transportation charges I was not eligible for any program and I was facing going to jail. However, Mr. Bruzzo convinced the District Attorney to DISMISS both charges against me and had me plea to a misdemeanor charge with a $100.00 fine and no probation! Mr. Bruzzo used my past accomplishments and the fact that my prior record was relatively minor to achieve this result. What makes the result in my case all the more extraordinary is that my co-defendant in the case admitted to the police that he and I were engaged in the sale of marijuana. I truly believe that Mr. Bruzzo’s familiarity with the District Attorney, the Judges and the courts in general made all the difference in my case and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any criminal law matter. I was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance for sale, a violation of Health and Safety Code section 11378(a) [H&S 11378(a)]. I faced up to 3 years in prison for this offense. I possessed more then the personal use amount of marijuana, I had the marijuana in different bags and I had a scale. I hired William W. Bruzzo to represent me as he is familiar with the Courts, the Judges and the District Attorney in Orange County. Because of the Possession for Sale charge I was not eligible for a program that would have kept me out of jail. However, Mr. Bruzzo negotiated with the District Attorney on my behalf and got the case reduced to a misdemeanor possession of Marijuana with a DISMISSAL OF THE CHARGE once I finish the 4 month PC 1000 program and stay out of trouble for 18 months. I truly believe that Mr. Bruzzo’s knowledge of the law and his familiarity with the courts and the district attorneys in Orange County made all the difference in my case and I would enthusiastically recommend him for any criminal matter. I was charged with hit and run as a misdemeanor (Vehicle Code Section 20002) which carries a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail and a fine of $1,000.00. I had had an accident causing about $3,300.00 in damage to property, then the police alleged I left the scene without reporting the matter or leaving my information. In addition I have a prior criminal record. I hired Attorney William W. Bruzzo because of his experience defending people charged with hit and run. Mr. Bruzzo convinced the court to give me a CIVIL COMPROMISE wherein Mr. Bruzzo spoke with the property owner and managed to get him to agree not to pursue charges in exchange for being fully compensated for his damages. The District Attorney then DISMISSED the case against me. I would highly recommend Mr. Bruzzo for any hit and run or criminal matter. Date: 7/17/06
